The program aims to facilitate the importation of safe food into the United States by offering expedited review and entry, reduced delays at ports of entry, and priority processing for products that meet high food safety standards.
Key Requirements of VQIP:

Full compliance with the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP).

All foreign suppliers must be certified or inspected by the FDA.
